I offer a complete consultation, design, installation and management service currently based on the far south coast of NSW. Drawing on elements of Permaculture Design, Organic Farming, Ecological Restoration and Holistic Management, I specialise in all property sizes from urban permaculture backyards to small and large-scale rural/agricultural/bush land.
As a consultant I bring an extensive knowledge of local climate, land forms and geography, soil types, native and exotic vegetation, and agricultural production systems suited to this bio region.
I particularly specialise in putting you ‘the client’ into the design process by gaining an understanding of your ‘holistic context’ and allowing this to guide the overall design.

Customised Design Service
Consultation rate of $55 per hour inc. GST.
Implementation & Management
I’m also available to coordinate, implement and maintain your specific property design at a rate of $44 per hour inc. GST.
Basic Urban Design
This includes a 2 hour site visit getting to know you and your backyard. You’ll be left with a hand-sketched design on the day and a 1 page follow-up report outlining the design in more detail including estimated costings if needed. I’ll also be available for ongoing phone and email advice.
Cost: $200 inc. GST
Basic Rural Design
This includes a 3 hour site visit to work through property attributes and challenges, specific client needs and intentions, as well as a thorough walk over the property. You’ll be left with a hand-sketched design after the consultation and 2 page follow-up report outlining the design in more detail including estimated costings if needed. I’ll also be available for ongoing phone and email advice.
Cost: $300 inc.GST
Pre-purchase Site Assessment
When you purchase a piece of land you’re buying yourself a certain lifestyle, and that lifestyle will depend greatly on soil types, aspect, growing potential, water availability and plant species already occupying that patch of earth. It’s a great idea to find out just what those pros and cons might be before making the big commitment and I can give you a good outline of the time and financial commitments around weed removal and regeneration, infrastructure setup, potential crops dependent on soil types and aspect, and some basic ideas about what kind of lifestyle and commitment this piece of land might require. I can also assist you in finding the right property for your needs.
This service includes a 3 hour site visit to assess property attributes and challenges based on specific client needs and context. You will then be sent a 2 page site report outlining in more detail the site assessment and estimated costs involved to achieve client’s long term plans.
